“No matter how slow the film, spirit always stands still for the photographer it has chosen “.
– Minor White
Natural light photography is a choice, a result of the love and magic a photographer witnesses in the process of shooting and seeing the resulting images. Justin Knecht’s early experience in commercial studio work and film clearly reinforced this preference, and he has chosen to work with photographic images that exude a sensitive and special light.
As a result, in the last 5 years Justin has been in increasing demand to shoot the personal, candid, documentary style wedding photos which have given couples and their families the really treasured moments to enjoy for a life time. No staging, no phony smiles or flash dazed faces, but the romantic, heartfelt and tender memories captured in beautifully composed photographs.
Justin’s photographic credentials include extensive darkroom experience, medium format, film (Bolex, Arriflex), film editing, and digital work. He now shoots exclusively in digital format (Canon) and has over 15 years experience in multimedia, digital and Internet applications. Justin’s wedding photos are available to be seen same-day, and provide a beautiful backdrop at your wedding reception.
His photographs have been exhibited at The Berman Museum of Art, Philadelphia, published in the Parisian newspaper Le Figaro, on the back cover of Dublin Foundation, by Edward Rutherfurd, online and and in his own collection of photography Tri.
